Hillcrest Christian College is a private, interdenominational, co-educational, day school with approximately 1,500 students (Pre-Kindy to Year 12) located at Reedy Creek on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Hillcrest caters for domestic and international students enrolling from Prep to Year 12 on one campus.

HEAD OF MUSIC K -12

The Head of Music K-12 is responsible to nurture and inspire student’s achievement through a well-sequenced academic music curriculum from K-12 and the pursuit of artistic excellence in academic and instrumental music performance. This responsibility extends across all academic and cocurricular instrumental ensembles within the K-12 College context.

Hillcrest Christian College is seeking a suitably qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic candidate who has the following qualifications and/or experience. We do however welcome applications from anyone who believes they may bring other unique skills or attributes to this role.

  • Be a registered teacher in Queensland or eligible for registration.
  • Hold a suitable tertiary music qualification.
  • Preferably hold a master’s or a postgraduate qualification in teaching.
  • Preferably have significant teaching experience (around 10 years) as well as considerable experience conducting ensembles.

Commencing Term 1, 2021 – Possibility of commencing Term 4, 2020
