  • Salary range: $4651.70 to $4982.80 p.f. (AO6) or $4620.20 to $4982.80 p.f. (PO4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Clinical Documentation Specialist will partner with the Clinical Coding team and clinicians to promote patient safety, data integrity and financial sustainability through continuous clinical documentation improvement and accurate clinical coding.

This position will provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to directly impact and optimise activity-based funding (ABF) at both the point of care and post-discharge.

Requirements:

AO6 requirements Whilst not mandatory, the following qualifications would be highly regarded:

    • Diploma in Clinical Coding (or equivalent)
    • Bachelor of Health Information management (or equivalent)

PO4 requirements

    • Possession of a Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution, providing eligibility for full membership to the Health Inforamtion Management Association of Australia.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
