The Level 3 CDIA CCDS demonstrates the ability to integrate coding and clinical information and apply them to complex patient situations. Furthermore, the Level 3 CDIA CCDS demonstrates leadership and commitment to education in the CDI field, with demonstrated impact on patient safety and quality in their workplace. The recertification process for the CDIA CCDS ensures that CDSs demonstrate currency of practice and remain up-to-date and current in the ACS and important developments across all aspects of CDI. Individuals who hold any level of CDIA CCDS must apply every two years to maintain certification. Recertification is due on the anniversary of the date printed on your certificate.  To certify, candidates will need to submit a [CPD and Education Log](https://admin.axcelerate.com.au/showDoc.cfm?DocID=339365) to the [CDIA Assessment Portal](https://cdia.app.axcelerate.com/learner/login) to demonstrate they have achieved 40 hours of CPD and 48 hours of education.
