Fair and responsive pricing

The Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) is pleased to release a new webinar series as part of its educational offering for local and international health professionals. 

The series is being introduced as an extension of the Activity Based Funding Conference series, where a collection of dynamic webinars are set to be delivered over the next 12 months.

 

The live webinars will provide health professionals with the opportunity to engage directly with IHPA senior leaders and technical advisors in an extended Q&A session, to learn more about how their work supports pricing and funding of public hospital services in Australia.

 

Session six

This session will explore the processes involved in determining the national efficient price and national efficient cost for public hospital services, including the policies, cost and activity data collection, and classification systems, that inform the national pricing model. 

Learn more about the use of weighted adjustments to account for differences in costs, and the methodologies and tools used by IHPA to ensure Australian public hospitals funding is fair, responsive and supports a sustainable network of hospitals across Australia.
