Gosford Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team in a permanent full-time position for a 12 month contract.
For more than 35 years Gosford Private Hospital has played a pivotal role in providing quality care to the Central Coast community as the largest and most comprehensive private hospital in the region.
Gosford Private Hospital (GPH) is a 129 inpatient bed facility which specialises in Orthopaedic, Neurological, Surgical, Obstetric, Paediatric, Cardiac, Medical, Oncology, Endoscopy and Rehabilitation services. This includes our specialised Cardiac services, which are supported by two dedicated catheter laboratories, six
Recovery bays, six-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and eight-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
About the role:
The Clinical Documentation Specialist will support the team by providing clinical based reviews of inpatient medical records along with staff education. They will be focus on facilitating the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and overall quality of clinical documentation.
This new opportunity requires an individual whose strengths are in developing strong working relationships with clinicians and knowledge of clinical documentation standards in order to work collaboratively with our professional hospital team.
Essential criteria:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
- Evidence of strong critical thinking/problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong broad-based clinical knowledge across multiple specialties
- Ability to work autonomously and within a diverse team
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health or Medicine.
