Description

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions for permanent, temporary and casual positions.

 Delivering quality documentation, education and liaising with clinical staff to sustain coding and documentation improvements across Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).

Providing the key contact point for the clinical coders and Health Information Managers (HIMs) for clinical queries.

If you have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine or Health Information Management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • A high level of knowledge of Activity Based Management (ABM) and its application to documentation and clinical coding and demonstrated extensive experience with Ministry of Health (MoH) Patient Administration Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage high workloads to meet productivity targets and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and organisational skills with attention to details
  • Proven ability and experience in implementing change management processes in a broad health care setting with tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine or Health Information Management with equivalent work experience
  • Advanced computing skills in Microsoft and relevant packages with demonstrated experience in collecting and managing data
  • Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
