Dr Ali Walker

Human Connection Scientist with a PhD in group dynamics from ANU

Ali is a Senior Lecturer in the Business School at the University of NSW Sydney, and the founder of Ality – an organisation dedicated to helping people connect their personality to their purpose. At Ality, Ali uses her PhD research to develop personality assessments that identify connection types and motivational drivers in relationships, teams and leadership.

Ali is a keynote speaker and consultant focusing on leadership, group dynamics and human connection. She has spoken for Suncorp, Australia Post, the Downer Group, Lendlease, the Australian Department of Health, Ambulance NSW, QBE, and the Australian Department of Education among others. She presented at TEDx UNSW and is the author of the bestselling Get Conscious: How to stop overthinking and come alive.

James Downie

Chief Executive Officer, Independent Hospital Pricing Authority

James Downie is the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA).

Prior to this James was the Executive Director, Activity Based Funding, leading the teams responsible for delivering the classification, costing and pricing functions of IHPA as well as the data acquisition activities.

He previously held roles with the Victorian Department of Health, the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and various technical and operational roles in the resources industry.

Dr Abdulelah Alhawsawi

Patient Safety Advisor at Saudi CBAHI

Dr. Abdulelah Alhawsawi is the founding Director-General of the Saudi Patient
Safety Center (SPSC) and MOH Advisor on Patient Safety. He led the efforts to
establish SPSC as a WHO Collaborating Center for patient safety policies and
strategies (1 of only 5 WHOcc worldwide in this field).

He holds Dual Certified
Boards (American - Canadian) of general surgery with sub-specialty in
Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery.

He is a consultant to several national and international quality and safety
organizations and recently became an executive committee member of the Global
Sepsis Alliance (GSA). He was part of the Expert Panel on the 3rd Global Patient
Safety Challenge of the WHO. He chaired the Organizing Committee for the 4th
Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2019.

Dr. Alhawsawi has helped introduce Patient Safety as a G20 priority in the 2020
G20 of Saudi Arabia.


Currently, Dr. Alhawsawi is part of the WHO’s Global Patient Safety Action Plan
Taskforce.

Dr David Tralaggan

Co-founder of Clinical Documentation Improvement Australia

Dr David Tralaggan is the most influential medical doctor in Australia when it comes to clinical documentation improvement.

Drawing from experience of being involved in the education of over 8,000 health care professionals, David is well acquainted with the challenges hospital face when they try to engage with clinicians.

David is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators, and continues to practice clinically in an Intensive Care Unit in NSW.

David is a dynamic and effective communicator who has an infectious passion for clinical documentation.

Sally is Mayo Clinic’s Midwest Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Director, bringing 25 years of nursing experience, over 10 years of CDI leadership, and a focus on healthcare quality to her role.

Her credentials include Registered Nurse, Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.

Sally serves as a committee member for the National Association of Healthcare Quality. She has worked with healthcare systems across the United States implementing new CDI programs and leading established programs toward best practices and peak performance. With a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Quality, Sally guides teams in continuous process improvement and the never-ending pursuit of accurate healthcare quality reporting and reimbursement. Her passion for engaging and educating providers, interdisciplinary stakeholders, and staff is evident in her dedication to never settling for good enough and always striving to inspire achievement of shared goals.
