Your new role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to lead clinical documentation quality and data integrity initiatives within Metro South Health. This role supports accurate and timely health information management through expert knowledge of ieMR, HBCIS, and clinical data standards, contributing to patient safety, operational efficiency, and funding accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver documentation resources, audits, and education to improve accuracy and timeliness of clinical data.
- Manage monthly data collections, validation processes, and mandatory reporting.
- Provide specialist advice on clinical records management, health information systems, and relevant standards.
About you:
We're looking for a highly organised and analytical leader with a strong background in health information management and a passion for data quality.
You will bring:
- High-level technical knowledge of health information systems (HBCIS, ieMR/Powerchart) and clinical documentation standards.
- Proven skills in data quality improvement, clinical auditing, and reporting.
- Ability to lead education and process improvement initiatives that enhance data accuracy and compliance.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
